June 5: At 6 a.m., parking restrictions are planned northbound on Columbus Drive to Balbo Drive.June 2: At 6 a.m., parking restrictions are planned along Columbus Drive between Jackson and Balbo drives.Here is a full list of road closures and restrictions occurring through July 1: The lanes won’t reopen until July 4, Crain’s reported. The biggest disruption will be June 28, when southbound DuSable Lake Shore Drive will close between Randolph Street and McFetridge Road - south of Roosevelt Road. Roads will gradually reopen in the two weeks following the event. More roads will close leading up to the race with the most significant restrictions coming June 25, city officials have said. Wells Drive will close for organizers to begin setup. Parking restrictions already began last week along Columbus Drive between Jackson and Balbo drives. DOWNTOWN - A slate of road closures and parking restrictions in and around Grant Park are going into effect Saturday leading up to the July 1-2 NASCAR race. ![]()
